On Thursday evening after I came back from office, Vaideha showed me a notebook from his school and said, I have created this blueprint of micro-raptor. I want to make one using cardboard. He had his friends jumping with him to get a confirmation from me that we do it on this weekend.
I had little choice and comprehension of what has gone behind this blueprint. Let aside that I had no clue of what is this micro-raptor “thingy” about. I just said Okay
And starting Saturday morning there was lot of energy in the day since morning, Vaideha got up with just one call
अरे तुझा तो micro-raptor करायचा आहे ना?
And he got up like a spring tied to his legs and took a bath in 15 minutes got ready with drinking milk and cloths which usually on week day takes about 30-35 minutes.
Soon I heard phone calls to his friends who where ready as well… at around 11 AM on Saturday boys with nice colorful shirts where gathered at our place all bubbling with energy and bustling around.
It was then, I saw the blueprint actually and I realized it had a lot more details than just drawing, it had part description, material needed to make it, quantity, color… There was also a list of offers made to Vaideha’s friends and their fathers to help in the making of micro raptor. Before I knew all the material was already present at home including some of it gathered from Vaideha’s friends.
I was just going with the flow without putting any more brain… I was mere acting as a Project Manager with architects, engineers already knowing what they need to do.

So from there we just followed the blueprint, to draw the shapes on the cardboard and then to cut the cardboard into correct pieces, we followed the coloring as per the blueprint.

It was nearly three hours and the boys were working with great enthusiasm and energy. They were fighting to get more piece to cut or draw or color. Only when the fruits case in I asked them to take a break so that I can take break as well… around 4 the boys mothers had called at least 2 time to call them back hence we stopped the work for the day.

Sudhir Pitale had made one of his creation while all this was happening which is a small 3×3 inches 3D flying T-rex. And Atharva Gogate had called for another day to make his design of his creation that he will publish soon. With this enjoyable afternoon work we stopped.
On Sunday morning me and Vaideha decided to put together the pieces of the micro-raptor together to finish the job. It was just an hours work to join the pieces and make the micro-raptor.
And its when I started to write this blog post, I searched what is micro-raptor about? and just for your reference the image of the micro-raptor and what we made today is given below:

It all starts with a Dream to create!
